Opera Recordings - 1906-1920 - Vocal Chops and Samples
112 vocal samples chopped from public domain opera recordings (1906–1920) in the Library of Congress and cleaned extensively to be usable. The original recordings are included too with 'RAW' in the title. Some of these are really beautiful and have a lot of character. Could be great for low-fi, trap, chillhop etc. Anywhere you need some old-timey character these are the real deal. Contains: - 22 Full phrases, 60 Phrases, and 24 Sustains - Sopranos, contraltos, tenors, baritones, and basses. - Surface noise removed; original acoustic-era frequency range preserved (~200 Hz – 4 kHz). The original recordings were in bad shape and I had to do quite a lot of processing to clean them up. One of these days I should write a post explaining through the whole process.
